Shivangi Nangia is an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department in the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research interests lie in the field of Computational Biophysical sciences such as drug delivery and nanomedicine. Specifically, her work focuses on how nanomaterials can be used in conjunction with synthetic therapeutic proteins to kill strains of bacteria that are resistant to conventional antibiotics (a leading cause of deaths in the US).
Over the years she has carried out multiple model simulations on one of the world's fastest supercomputers, called Anton2!.
