Lisa Cato-Scott is a Chief Probation Officer II with the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, Court Support Services Division (CSSD), and has been with the Branch for the past 18 years. Lisa worked on various caseloads throughout her career, but her passion emerged when she worked as a Women Offender Case Management (WOCM) Probation Officer in the New Britain Office from the time of inception in June 2007. In May 2008, the National Institute of Corrections and Orbis Partners trained Lisa on WOCM and she then became a certified National Trainer on the model. Lisa’s other passion is for bringing awareness to cultural issues within CSSD. In 2013, Lisa became of a member of the CSSD Advisory Committee on Cultural Responsiveness (ACCR). She is a facilitator of Foundation in Cultural Responsiveness (FCR 100) for the branch. Lisa is an Adjunct Professor with the University of Hartford where is teaching classes on Women’s issues in the Criminal Justice System, as well as Introduction to Criminal Justice courses. Lisa holds a MS in Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing her PHD in Public Safety Leadership.
