Alex Coury

As the Associate Vice President for Industry Partnerships and Career Experiences, Alex forges relationships with University partners and leading area business with a focus on preparing UHart students for the workforce.

Ryan Polk

Ryan is the Associate Director of Career Experiences and works to introduce students to the resources available to them when looking to apply their skills outside of the classroom.

Sumayya works with UHart students as the Assistant Director of Career Experiences. Her goal is to provide students with the tools needed to transition from UHart to the workforce.

Meet Our Career Ambassadors

The career student ambassadors and graduate students in the Office of Career and Professional Development each play an important role in helping students find their career passion—they meet with students, work on marketing materials, social media content, event planning, and more. Come by the Career Studio to meet them in person.

Camila Reyes is from Boston, MA and studying Architectural Design & Technology. On campus she is the Women in Architecture & Design Social Media and Outreach Chair, and outside the classroom, she's traveled to 10 different countries and speaks 3 languages.
Darien Gaines, from Brooklyn, NY, studies Entrepreneurial Studies at the Barney School of Business. He is a member of the Barney Leadership Council and a personal trainer when he's not working on his academics.
Gavin Feliciano, who grew up in Harrisburg, PA, is an Acoustical Engineering student in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA). He is involved with The Hartford Informer, PCM, HMFC and enjoys cooking shows.

About the Center

The Allan Center for Career and Professional Development was made possible by alumnus and current chair of the Board of Regents, Donald Allan Jr. ’86, and his wife, Marilyn. In addition to his role as president and CEO of Stanley Black & Decker, Don has remained connected to his alma mater as a passionate advocate for career readiness and professional development.

In 2024, the Allans longstanding partnership and leadership support was recognized with the new Center, which now bears their name.
