1967: Stephen F. Moseley
Stephen F. Moseley (A&S), H'89 of Bethesda, Md., and Yvonne Renee Moss Davis '91 (A&S) of Windsor, Conn., were honored with Board of Visitors Alumni Awards by the College of Arts and Sciences. Moseley is President of United Nations Association of the National Capital Area. He has spent his career serving nonprofit organizations and associations devoted to meeting the needs of people and their communities who are disadvantaged by poverty, discrimination and injustice. Davis is President and CEO of Davis Communications, an award-winning national and international communications consulting firm. She also works at Fox 61 in Hartford as an international relations expert specializing in politics and world affairs around the globe.

1976: JOHN Judd
John Judd (Barney) of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. was selected as President of the JHewson Group, a technology consulting and advertising company serving Higher Education in North America, the Caribbean, and Africa.
1978: Steve Curylo
Steve Curylo (Hartt) of Chicopee, Mass., sang the role of Germont in La Traviata with Panopera, a company in Northampton, Mass. He regularly sings recitals and concerts in the Springfield, Mass. area.

1980: Mark J. Bonney
SeeChange International, Inc., a leader in video delivery platforms, named Mark J. Bonney (M Barney) of Middletown, Conn., as executive chair. In that capacity, he will assume the duties of chairman of the board and principal executive officer. He has 35 years of senior financial, operational, and executive leadership experience.
1981: Marya Triandafekkis
The art of Marya Triandafellos (HAS) of New York, N.Y., was featured in the show Chroma 2.0 that ran for two weeks at the Artfront Galleries in Newark, N.J., in April. It featured four pieces of her artwork, 24-inch squares printed on archival HD metal which “floated” off the wall.
1985: Barton Halpern
Barton Halpern (CETA) of Oceanport, N.J., has been named director of the Army Research office. He will manage the Army's extramural research program to create new and innovative scientific discoveries that will enable future Army defense technologies and capabilities. He was formerly at Picatinny Arsenal.
1986: Mark Dion
Artist Mark Dion (HAS), H'02 of Copake, N.Y., was recognized by The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation as one of its 2019 fellows in the field of fine arts. The distinction was appointed on the basis of prior achievement and exceptional promise. He also opened an exhibition of eight outdoor works at the Storm King Sculpture Center in New Windsor, N.Y. in May. It is the first exhibition to unite Dion's signature folly works into a major survey.
1988: Judith McElhone
Judith McElhone (HAS), (M'94 HAS) of Torrington, Conn., executive director of the Five Points Gallery in Torrington, Conn., was named an "Arts Hero" by the Connecticut Office of the Arts for her extraordinary work in the arts in the State. The honorees were celebrated at Infinity Music Hall in Hartford in May.

1993: Gillian Reily
Gillian Reily (M Barney) of Toronto, Canada, president and CEO of Tangerino, a subsidiary of Scotiabank, was profiled on womenofinfluence.ca. The article focused on her efforts to support women entrepreneurs through The Scotiabank Women Initiative which helps women-led businesses in Canada grow and thrive.
1998: Sathya Kalyanasundaram
Data analytics and financial advisory firm Experian India has appointed Sathya Kalyanasundaram (M Barney) of Nungambakkam Chennai, India as its new country managing director. Since 2015, he has been at MobME Wireless Solutions, where he began as CFO and eventually ascended to CEO.
1998: Zhao Zhi Gang
Uni-Bio Science Group Limited appointed Zhao Zhi Gang (M Barney) of Palo Alto, Calif., as its CEO. He has more than 20 years of experience in finance and management primarily working in the pharmaceutical industry, and for publicly listed companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers.

2000: Tyondai Braxton
Experimental musician Tyondai Braxton (Hartt) of Brooklyn, N.Y., was last year's Class of 1939 Maurine Stuart Dulin Artist-in-Residence in the music department at William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. He is a founding member of the experimental rock group, Battles.
2002: Jean-Pierre Silvera
Allnewsstories.com published a profile on chiropractor Jean-Pierre Silvera A'99 (Hillyer), (A&S) of Clermont, Fla. The article focused on his approach to chiropractic wellness care and the delivery services offered through Taylor-Made Health and Wellness. Silvera established Taylor-Made Health and Wellness in 2011.
2004: David Bosso
Longtime Berlin (Conn.) High School Teacher David Bosso (M ENHP) of Berlin, Conn., was inducted into the National Teachers' Hall of Fame for his contribution to statewide policy, mentorship of younger teachers, and sharing his experiences from around the globe with students. A social studies teacher, he was one of five recognized from across the country.
2004: Amit Makwana
The Siegfried Group, LLP, a national CPA firm, has added Amit Makwana (M Barney), (M'06 Barney) of Newark, Delaware, to its New York metro market as a senior manager. He was cited by Siegfried as possessing strong analytical skills. Makwana was previously a senior manager with Ernst & Young.
2007: Scott Bakal
Scott Bakal (M HAS) of West Roxbury, Mass., was commissioned by the United States State Department to create the 2019 Earth Day poster “Preserve the Earth.” It was sent to U.S. Embassies around the world to use for their environmental programs. This year’s focus was on pollinators.
2007: Ruth O'Keefe
ThinkGenetic announced the promotion of Ruth O'Keefe (A&S) of Sudbury, Mass., to vice president, marketing and patient advocacy. She has varied experiences in social media and marketing within a digital marketing team, a premier IBM company, and as a marketing consultant.
2009: Burak Konuk
Burak Konuk (M Barney), (M CETA) of Tampa, Fla., is now senior traffic and ITS engineer with Kisinger Campo & Associates. In his new position, he will participate in strategic planning and business development activities to support achievement of the firm’s growth besides managing traffic and ITS projects.

2010: Elisa Haveles
Elisa Haveles (M Hartt) of Manchester, Conn., presented a session at the Connecticut Music Educators Association in-service conference in April titled “Developing an Elementary Choral Music Program for All Singers.” She has taught in the Coventry and Manchester public schools.
2011: Corey Pane
Artist Corey Pane (HAS) of West Hartford, Conn., was recognized in local media for painting a mural celebrating the life of Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was killed this spring. The mural appears on a wall at Heaven Skate Park in Hartford. Pane is also known for painting cleats for NFL players.
2011: Dianna Wentzel
Former Connecticut Commissioner of Education Dianna Wentzel (D ENHP) of South Windsor, Conn., became interim director of clinical education at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Conn. Before becoming commissioner in 2015, she had more than 25 years of experience as an educator in the state.
2013: Dave Szalay
Illustrator Dave Szalay (M HAS) of Richfield, Ohio, earned 14 ADDY awards at the AAF-Akron annual American Advertising Awards held in February. After a decades-long career in advertising and graphic design, he has focused on illustration in recent years. Szalay illustrated the children's book, The Superlative A. Lincoln, earlier this year.
2015: Danielle Wilken
Goodwin College announced the appointment of Danielle Wilken (D ENHP) of Avon, Conn., as Provost. She has more than 20 years of experience in higher education, including a focus on new program and curriculum development, and establishing graduate degree programs.
2016: Torrey Martone
Former UHart Lacrosse player Torrey Martone (A&S) of Cheshire, Conn., was the subject of a profile that appeared in thezone.rep-am.com. He spent his first year as head coach at Cheshire Academy this past spring. Previously, he served as a defensive assistant for Wesleyan University when they won the Division III national championship.
2017: Bennett Szames
Bennett Szames (Barney) of Cincinnati, Ohio has joined Mitchell & Ness, a sports clothing company located in Philadelphia, as an apparel production assistant.
