At Hillyer, we see students for who they are: individuals with unique backgrounds, perspectives, and learning styles.
We’re the opposite of a one-size-fits-all approach to college. With our own Study Center, dedicated faculty, and accessible advisors, your Hillyer experience will be unique to you. Hillyer’s small class sizes — no class has more than 18 students — ensure that you will receive personalized attention.
From your first day on campus, you will be a part of Hillyer College and one of our other schools through our Dual Admission Program. At Hillyer, you'll get the advantage of pursuing your major with extra support.
You also have the added advantage of dual admission, which allows you to earn credits toward your major while receiving one-on-one academic support.
Receive profound support the first two years of your UHart journey through learning communities, smaller class sizes, and access to dedicated writing and study centers.
If you haven’t visited UHart and Hillyer College, you can schedule a campus visit and even attend a class!
Join us for a 6 p.m. panel discussion with our Dean Josie Brown and Hillyer students! It's a perfect opportunity to get your questions answered and to learn about the Hillyer Advantage!
Dayna Dinnall participated in the Legislative Internship Program, where she worked for House Representative Charlie L. Stallworth and would go to the State Capitol, specifically to the Democratic caucus room, to assist her legislator.
With approximately 15 percent fewer internship placement opportunities available due to legislator turnover last spring—and more student applications than ever to the program—the selection process was highly competitive.
This internship has changed my perspective and potentially expanded my career opportunities after college. My time at the Connecticut General Assembly has been an experience of a lifetime, to say the least.
Hillyer helps you unleash your potential for academic success, but that’s just the beginning. The confidence you gain in the classroom will serve you well as you embark on your professional career.
We’re proud, but not surprised, that Hillyer grads are successful doctors, Emmy award-winning television producers, up-and-coming financial analysts, lawyers, corporate CEOs, and more.
