Student Move-In

Student move-in is taking place as scheduled Monday and Tuesday. However, please note that students and families who experience travel delays or have concerns following Sunday's snow may arrive outside of their scheduled time slot at any time between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday or Tuesday. Students who need to arrive outside of these hours of 8:30 to 5 during these two days may contact the Office of Residential Life at reslife@hartford.edu.

Academics

The College of Arts and Sciences is the University’s largest college with 20 undergraduate majors and 25 minors.

Here you can explore a variety of academic disciplines—from the arts and humanities, to sciences and social sciences. Study the great writers or learn to become one. Examine what we know about the past, then harness that historical understanding to hypothesize about the future. Explore the workings of the mind, the complexities of society, or the diversity of the arts. We also prepare you for entry into a graduate or medical school through our Pre-Professional Advising Program.

Although the courses vary greatly among our departments, each program within the College of Arts and Sciences offers you:

Experienced faculty who are committed to personal student advising and development
Small class sizes where you will have ample access to your teachers and the department's resources
A balanced emphasis on quality liberal arts studies and professional training and experience.
