Faculty Resources

All faculty requesting music from the HPL for a class or ensemble should email HPL staff prior to stopping by. Music requests should be submitted a minimum of two weeks in advance of the date needed. Upon picking up the music from the HPL, faculty will be asked to fill out a Music Pickup form.

All instrument rentals require faculty sign off. Faculty members who are assigning, or who become aware of a student/s that will need, materials or auxiliary instruments from the HPL for their class or ensemble, should contact the HPL via email (hrtprflib@hartford.edu) a minimum of one week in advance of the rental need.

If a student comes to the HPL to request or borrow an instrument without advance notice, they will be asked to provide their name, program of study, and purpose of the instrument loan. Prior to the instrument being loaned, HPL staff will contact the appropriate faculty to approve the loan and follow up with the student once the request has received approval.

If you find that an HPL instrument needs repair and would like to request it be assessed, please submit a HPL Instrument Repair Request Form.

This form is to be filled out by faculty only.

Student Resources

Students requesting music from the HPL will be required to fill out a Student Music Loan Request. Faculty approval will be required for a student to loan music from the HPL.
