The video, which was released last week, was organized and produced by the Center for Community Service and STN Channel 2. The video begins with a message from President Walter Harrison, and features students, faculty, and staff delivering messages of hope and acceptance.
The "It Gets Better Project" began in September 2010, when syndicated columnist and author Dan Savage created a YouTube video with his partner, Terry, to inspire hope for young people facing harassment. The project started in response to a string of suicides last fall committed by gay teens who were bullied.
More than 5,000 people have created videos for the project, including politicians such as President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and celebrities such as Anne Hathaway, Colin Farrell, Ellen DeGeneres and the cast of "Glee."
