Thirty-five students and two advisors traveled to Biloxi Mississippi for the 2013 Alternative Spring Break trip. During their time in Misissippi, the group focused primarily on cleanup from Hurricane Isaac and long term gulf coast eco-system restoration. Volunteers completed a variety of projects including: shoreline restoration, native plant propagation, sea grass restoration, wildlife habitat improvement, and invasive species removal.
The group was featured on the Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 Mississippi television station WLOX.
