Students have the opportunity to participate in various retreats held throughout the academic year.
Fall Retreat: This retreat is held one weekend (Friday evening through Sunday noon), generally in mid to late October. This retreat is open to the entire student body. The cost for the student is $20. Each year a different theme is chosen centered around a different aspect of our Catholic faith. Through discussions, activities and reflection, students have the opportunity to develop their faith. There is also plenty of time for fun and relaxation. Previous themes include "The Center of My Life" and "Finding Joy, Laughter and Humor in Our Faith". The theme for Fall 2013 is "The Power of Small Choices". More information about this retreat and a registration form will be available this summer.
College Student Retreat: This retreat is held by the staff at Holy Family Retreat House in West Hartford. It is a weekend retreat, held in February, gathering students from area colleges and universities. This retreat is also open to the entire student body. The cost is generally $25 per student. The themes change each year.
Lenten Retreat: This overnight retreat (Saturday morning through Sunday noon) is held during Lent. It deals with topics surrounding Lent and the Passion of our Lord. This retreat is open to the entire student body and costs $20 per student. Last year's retreat dealt with the movie "The Passion of the Christ". This year, the students chose to do a program, "Chocolate for Lent", on campus rather than an overnight retreat for Lent.
Junior/Senior Retreat: This overnight retreat (Saturday morning through Sunday noon) is generally held in April. It is only open to students currently in their Junior or Senior year. During this retreat we look at life after college, on a spiritual as well as personal level.
