“Enrich your lives through service to others” was a common message to the University’s undergraduate Class of 2015 during the Commencement Ceremony held Sunday, May 17 on campus. Nearly 1,100 students received bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at Commencement with thousands of family members and friends in attendance. A recent survey of the Class of 2015 found that 93 percent believe that their University of Hartford education has prepared them for a career or to further their education.
Keynote speaker Caryl M. Stern, president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, received an honorary doctor of humane letters and University awards were presented to outstanding faculty, staff, and students. Outstanding alumni also were recognized.
