Jessica Tantin ’14 did not have much time to celebrate after receiving her bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Hartford's Barney School of Business on May 18. Just two days later, she had moved from Hartford to New York City and started her new job at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. Tantin, who is working for Aramark, is in charge of two sections of the ballpark that serve premium and season ticket holders, as well as VIPs.
“Barney really prepared me to look at my career in a different way,” says Tantin, who is now pursuing her master’s in business administration through Barney’s online program. “Our professors made it possible for us to move forward and be confident in our future in the business world.”
Classmate Kenneth Parker ’14 will be joining Tantin and Lamnica in the workforce. Parker will be an operations analyst for Goldman Sachs. He was unsure of his career path until he arrived at the University.
