Parent Resources

The Career Services office and parents share a common goal: to help your student prepare for and make sound career decisions. We encourage parents to take an active role in their child's career development and help in motivating them to use the resources available. Students should identify the resources available to them from Career Services early in their college career.

We invite parents to take a tour of the Career Services website to get a better understanding of the services we offer to students. Begin with Student Resources.

Parents -- did you know that frequent Career Center visits = more job offers?

"It pays to use your college career center, according to a 2010 study by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).  The association found that 71 percent of college seniors who received job offers reported using their college career center.

Frequent use of the career center often also increased students' chances of landing a job.  The study found that seniors who used their career center four or more times a semester were more apt to receive job offers than those who only used it once a semester."

Parents, please encourage your student to visit our office and make an appointment with one of our career advisors.
