This is my story
My education at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School prepared me for everything I am doing now. I left the University as a much better singer than I was when I first started school. In particular, I got a lot out of Associate Professor Gabor Viragh’s classes. He taught me everything there is to know about ear training and sight singing and reading. I loved going to those classes.
My music ed. degree will also enable me to teach one day. I would love nothing more than to inspire kids the way my music teachers inspired me at a young age. Right now, I am focused on this new phase of my career. My album "Come Through for You" came out in November so I have spent a lot of time on the road to promote it. I recently performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Today Show. I also had the opportunity to sing at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. But whenever I get a chance, I love coming home to Connecticut to spend time with my two little girls and my wife, who I met while we were students at the University of Hartford.
It was amazing to come back to campus to perform at Lincoln Theater during Hawktober weekend. Everything has changed so much. It was great to walk around and think about all the good times I had on campus and how my friends and I were growing and learning at that age. I feet at home when I'm here.
