The SGA E-Board is elected at the end of the Spring Semester each year. These individuals head the University of Hartford's Student Government Association and are responsible for various aspects of life at the university.
Randy Perez - Executive Vice President
Randy is a junior, psychology major and was born and raised in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Aside from being in SGA, Randy is also a Resident Assistant in E & F Complexes. Randy has served as B-Complex Senator his freshman year, and continues the position as Executive Vice President from his sophomore year. He would like everyone to know that he has an unhealthy addiction to Buffalo Wild Wings, traveling, Blue Mountain State, Game of Thrones, cliff jumping and kayaking. He ran Track and Field for four years and wants to live in Spain after college.
Simeon Kornegay - Finance Vice President
Simeon is a junior, economics and finance major here at the university. He was born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey and is very interested in politics, music, and working out. If you ever want to talk about anything political, fitness/athleticism, or any type of music, feel free to come by his cubicle. Good vibes are welcome! Aside from being a part of SGA, Simeon is a part of Red Caps, Resident Assistant in C and D Complexes, and Community Attendant in Hawk Hall. He has served as C Complex Senator his freshman year and E Complex Senator his sophomore year, and is ready to take on the position as Finance Vice President for his junior year.
Nicole Milette - Student Affairs Vice President
Nicole is a junior, performing arts management major from Hampden, Massachusetts. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys playing the ukuele, and telling everyone she's a vegetarian within minutes of meeting them. Aside from SGA, Nicole is part of the Red Key Society, a sister of Sigma Alpha Iota, and a Red Cap. She has previously served as the Hartt School Senator for her freshman year, the Student Affairs Vice President for her sophomore year, and is excited to take on that role again for her junior year.
Jennie Leonard - Public Relations Vice President
Jennie is a junior, health science/pre-optometry major and is from Wolcott, Connecticut. Aside from being a part of SGA, Jennie is a member of the University of Hartford Dance Team, a sister in Delta Gamma, a Red Key Society tour guide, and a Red Cap Orientation Leader. She has previously served as Village Senator her sophomore year, and is excited to take on the position as Public Relations Vice President for her junior year.
Malcolm Virgil - Academic Vice President
Malcolm is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences studying film/communications with a concentration in public relations and advertising. He is from Scotch Plains, New Jersey and loves to collect backpacks; he currently owns 29.5 (yeah, the 0.5 is a long story...). In his free time, Malcolm loves to play frisbee on the Men’s Ultimate Frisbee team here at UHart. He has previously served as D Complex Senator his freshman year and is looking forward to serving the student body as the Academic Vice President.
Katie-May Fumosa - Student Regent
Katie is a senior from Toms River, New Jersey and is majoring in psychology, with a minor in environmental studies. Aside from being a part of SGA, Katie has been a member of Sigma Alpha Pi since her freshman year and has served on its executive board as Membership and Outreach Chair, President, and is currently a peer advisor to the board. She is also a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society for first year students and Psi Chi, the national Psychology Honor Society. Addition to that, she is also a peer tutor the Student Success Center. Her previos SGA experience includes serving as F Complex Senator her sophomore year and Academic Vice President Associate her junior year. She is a huge advocate for mental health awareness and wants to do anything she can to rid the world of the stigma around mental illnesses. She quotes, "If you ever want to talk about anything feel free to stop by my desk."
Tanaya Williams - Student Regent
Tanaya is a junior from Brooklyn, New York studying biology as her major, with a psychology minor. Aside from being a student regent, Tanaya was a prior member of UHa Steppaz, currently holds the position as Operations Manager at Student Centers of Administration, is a Biology Student Ambassador, and a member of Sigma Alpha Pi. On her free time, she loves to travel and has already been to 13 differnet countries! This is Tanaya's first time being a part of SGA, but she's excited to see how the organization works and to make an impact on the university!
James Brino - Executive Assistant
James is a sophomore studying mechanical engineering with a concentration in acoustics as his major. He is from Southington, Connecticut and has previously served in SGA as A Complex senator during his freshman year. In addition to being a part of SGA, James is a member in Pep Band, Newman Club, Relay for Life Committee, Hawktober Week Committee, Hall Council and the College Knights of Columbus. Fun fact: he LOVES President Abraham Lincoln, American Civil War History, and organization. James says to "stop by my desk for some inspirational thoughts, cool science and coffee! My cell number is 860.329.5865, give me a call or text if you need anything anytime, doesn’t matter the time!" He is excited to take on the position as the Executive Assistant for SGA.
Cori Ansbro - Student Representative to the Alumni Board
Cori is a senior, Physical Therapy major from Goshen, New York. Aside from being a part of SGA, Cori is also a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team, L.E.A.D, Women For Change, Hartbeat Magazine, Spectrum, Dramatis Personae, W.A.R.S, and Best Buddies. Cori has previously served as Regents Senator her sophomore year and Executive Vice President Associate her junior year. She has a black belt in taekwondo and is excited to sit on E-Board once again as the Student Representative to the Alumni Board.
