Student Centers Administration is now accepting applications. We are looking for highly motivated students who are willing and able to work independently, but remain a team player. Applicants are encouraged to apply to the available positions that we have.
Building & Event Technicians
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager for Building and Event Services, Building and Event Technician facilitate the co-curricular and administrative programs of the student center and to assist the programs of non-university organizations that have contracted use of student center facilities. BETs must regulate and monitor service, safety, and security of the student union by walking rounds and responding to issues. Daily duties include, but are not limited to; opening and closing the Student Center facilities, setting up for meetings and events, securing vacant conference rooms, being responsible of Student Center Administration equipment and furnishing, and other duties as assigned. BETs must uphold a professional manner and represent the Student Center Administration and the University with outstanding customer service to internal and external clientele.
Guest Services Representatives
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager for Guest Services, Guest Services Representatives are the primary point of contact for customers in the Student Union and are responsible for providing information to University students, staff and visitors. Duties include, but are not limited to; selling tickets for events, cash management, answering phones, copying, filing, greeting guests, assisting with event set ups in times of need, and other assigned duties. It is essential that GSRs enforce all policy and procedures of the Student Centers Facilities, including Howie's Hangout Game Room use to University students, staff and visitors.
Administrative Services Partners
Under the supervision of the Business and Scheduling Administrator, Administrative Services Partners' primary duties are to assist scheduling student and university events. ASPs will be responsible for marketing and promoting events that are happening within the Student Center Facilities in way of social media and uploading advertisements on the Visix TV screens. Other duties include, but are not limited to; communicating and responding to emails on behalf of SCA, and implementing and maintaining a presence of the Student Center Facilities as a space for students.
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager for Production Services, Production Engineers maintain and operate Student Centers Video, lighting and sound reinforcement equipment. Engineers will apply safety standards when lifting sound, lighting and video equipment. They will perform light carpentry duties related to installing scenic elements.
