Community Service Work Study

Community Service Federal Work-Study

These work-study positions provide students with employment opportunities within the towns of Bloomfield, Hartford, and West Hartford.  Students must have been awarded work-study through the Financial AId office in order to hold one of these positions. The amount of funds students can earn over the course of the semester depends on each student’s work-study allotment.

Position Descriptions

Non-Profit Organization Work-Study Position:

Students will be working as a student assistant at a local non-profit. Responsibilities may vary depending on your employment site. Responsibilities can include; answering phones, filing, making appointments, office organization, assisting with large scale projects, or assisting in youth development activities.

Tutoring Work-Study Position:

Students will have the opportunity to work as tutors to local youth in grades K-12. Students will be paired with youths based on their own academic strengths.
