This is my story

Drawing from Memory

I first learned about the University of Hartford when my older brother enrolled here. Once I decided to pursue art, I visited the Hartford Art School and knew this was where I wanted to be. The programs that are offered impressed me and I liked that it isn't too far from my home in New Jersey.

You may have seen some of my art. My illustration of a student reading on the campus lawn was chosen as the cover of the Summerterm course catalogue. For my current project, I am illustrating a children’s book for Professor John Feierabend, director of the Music Education Division of The Hartt School. My illustrations for There’s a Hole in the Bucket are based on scenes from my memories of fishing with my father. I like to take ideas from the things that are important to me and things that inspire me.

During my four years at the Hartford Art School, I have been exposed to many different illustration techniques and my skills have become much stronger thanks to all of my professors. They are all so talented and have been a great support system for me. They have also encouraged me to pursue a career in art, which I plan on doing.
