At UHart, we recognize the importance of creating student connections. Outside the classroom, there are many ways to engage with peers in our student centers across campus. Our student centers, University Commons, Gengras Student Union (GSU), and the Konover Great Room are a perfect space to host your next upcoming event.

Empowered Leaders

Empowered Leaders is a program that pushes student organization leaders to be the best that they can be. Our student leaders will learn how to Emerge, Engage, Excite, and Envision a better student life for the UHart community. 

To reserve space on-campus, students must complete the Empowered Leaders four step training modules.

Reserve An Event Space

If you are a UHart student or employee and would like to reserve a space to host a meeting, program, or an event, there is space in our buildings that can serve that purpose.

When you are looking for a space, please remember to:

Students

Complete the "Empowered Leaders" training to submit an Event Registration Form on the UHart Hub. Organization leaders that have not completed the training will not be able to host an event on campus. Student events will be added to 25Live on your club or organizations behalf.

Faculty & Staff

Reserve space for internal department related meetings or private events using 25Live. If you are hosting an event for students, please use the UHart Hub Event Registration Form to reserve your event space. Please check the space availability before requesting a space.

Reserve Space on 25Live

Students must complete an Assumption of Risk form for each student attending an off-campus event. All forms can be submitted through your UHart Hub Event Registration form.

Faculty, staff, and student organization advisors must complete a Clery - Student Trip Reporting Form with Public Safety before taking students on an overnight off-campus trip. Complete the form electronically and it will directly be sent to Public Safety immediately upon completion. *This form does not need to be completed if your group is not staying overnight.

We would love to host your next meeting, symposium, conference, or corporate outing! With campus 15 minutes away from Downtown Hartford, we are a perfect location for any event, big or small. We have spaces that can accommodate groups as little as 8 or as large as 500.

Our Student Center spaces can be set-up in multiple ways including conference, classroom, banquet, theater, or hollow square configurations.

We strive to provide a premier level of support for your event. Included in your space rental is all of the furniture and tech equipment that is located inside your reserved space:

  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Pipe and Drape
  • Built-In Audio Systems
  • Built-In Projection Systems
  • Built-In Screens
  • Microphone
  • Computer

Additional Staffing

Student Centers Event Services schedules up to two staff members for standard events. Additional staff is available at an additional cost. Please contact stcenters@hartford.edu for pricing.

Catering

Catering for events is available through Aramark Hospitality at the University of Hartford. Aramark offers a wide variety of delicious food options ranging from cold sandwiches and boxed lunches, to burgers and hot dogs, or themed buffets.
