Moving to Campus

We are so excited that you are joining our campus residential community. You are part of the UHart family and we want to be sure that you to feel at home here. Please contact us if you have any questions. 

When am I moving in? 

Mark your calendars for opening week at UHart on Sept. 1-8. During your first week, you will move to campus, participate in fun activities to meet new friends, and get ready for your first day of class. In July, you should have received an email with your room assignment and move-in date. Please email us if you haven't received anything.  reslife@hartford.edu and we will get you the information. Below please see move-in times based on room assignment. 

If you have signed up for early adventure, please note that you can move in on Wednesday, Aug. 29 between 8:30-11:30 a.m. Please check with the Center for Student Success if you have any questions.

Important things to remember

During Move-in weekend, current students, also called Howie's Helpers, volunteer to help you move in. To ensure a smooth process, please remember:

  1. To label all items with the student's name, building, and room number.
  2. A driver needs to stay with the vehicle being unloaded at all times.
  3. Each complex has four floors. There are no elevators in the complexes.
  4. Please review our recommended items to bring.
  5. Pick up your key in Gengras Student Union at Check-in
