Improper Check Out

Each student must notify the Office of Residential Life staff of his or her decision to leave the residence hall. The student must fill out, sign, and return a completed Check-out Envelope, including the room key. The room must be checked by a staff member, or the student must sign a waiver of their rights to appeal damage charges. Failure to do so will result in an improper-checkout fee. A student may also be charged an improper-checkout fee for missing or being late for a prescheduled checkout appointment with a Residential Life staff member, or not leaving the residence hall by the designated closing time.
