When can I move into my room?

All new students are invited to move into their room assignments on a date that will be communicated to you in August via your University of Hartford email account. New students will check in at Gengas Student Union, where most University offices are and staff is available to answer your questions and help get you settled. This "consolidated opening" marks the beginning of your college experience, and is a very exciting time. Do not worry if you feel stressed and anxious; almost all new students do. Try to relax, get settled, get involved in the activities, and have a good time.

Students who are attending Orientation Session 5 will move into their room assignment on the Friday of Orientation Session 5.

RETURNING STUDENTS PLEASE NOTE: You can move in on a date that will be communicated to you in August via your University email account.

EARLY ARRIVALS: During the last week of August, Residential Life staff members are still being trained, building preparation is still under way, and the last session of Orientation will still be in progress. Therefore, early arrivals are a challenge. If you have unavoidable circumstances that warrant arriving early or late, please complete the Early Arrival Request Form or Late Arrival Request Form (available online in late June). We will do what we can to accommodate your arrival. We can not guarantee that your room assignment will be available, however, so please make contingent plans in case we can not accommodate your request. Please do not email or fax such requests.
