A blizzard warning goes into effect for our area this evening. The University will close at 3 p.m. today and will be closed all day on Tuesday, Jan. 27.  Classes starting at 2:30 p.m. or later today will not meet. All day and evening classes tomorrow are canceled. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for Wednesday will be posted Tuesday evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only.   snow closing guide

September 11 MemorialRising from the Ashes

The National September 11 Memorial in New York City. Twin waterfall pools set in the footprints of the two World Trade Center towers bear the names of those who lost their lives on 9/11 engraved on the parapets surrounding the pools.One World Trade Center is being built on the site previously occupied by 6 WTC.

Ruth Ross Ziolkowski president and CEO of the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation, has helped turn the memorial into a valuable community asset. With its extensive museum collections and educational outreach programs, this privately funded nonprofit has brought invaluable educational opportunities to the youth of South Dakota.
