Presidential Debate Viewing Party Monday Night At University of Hartford

Students enrolled in the University of Hartford’s Hillyer College honors course ‘Generation on the Rise,’ a class about millennials and political activism, are hosting a viewing party for tonight’s first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.Students and Associate Professor of Political Science Bilal Sekou will be available for interviews.

The ‘Generation on the Rise’ honors class focuses on the effectiveness of each candidate and how they address issues important to young adults, including access to affordable housing, protection of the environment, the availability of good paying jobs, and social and racial justice. About half of all eligible voters between the ages 18-29 voted during presidential elections in 2008 and 2012.
