Student-athletes are often remembered for their game-time performances. But sometimes, their biggest accomplishments happen off the field and away from the fans.
Over the last few years, our Hartford Hawks have been working with children from Team IMPACT, which pairs children with life threatening illnesses or life-altering chronic conditions with college athletic teams. NBC Connecticut recently aired a story about one of these children and her relationship with the women’s basketball team:
