The University of Hartford will celebrate the 54th anniversary of its founding with a birthday party on Sunday, Feb. 20,
immediately following the women’s basketball game against the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, which tips off at 1 p.m.
The celebration, which is free and open to all, will take place in the Auxiliary Gym in the Reich Family Pavilion

The University of Hartford was chartered on February 21, 1957 when then Gov. Abraham A. Ribicoff signed legislation that allowed the Hartt School of Music, the Hartford Art School and Hillyer College to come together to form the University of Hartford.
