University and Saint Francis to Announce Collaboration

Officials from the University of Hartford and Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center are set to announce an agreement that will provide the framework for developing joint research and educational programs to be offered by the two institutions.

University of Hartford President Walter Harrison and Christopher M. Dadlez, president and CEO of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, will sign the agreement on Thursday, June 24, at 2 p.m. in the Patient Care Tower rotunda at Saint Francis.

Under the agreement, Saint Francis will become the clinical partner for the University's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP)and College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA). The joint programs are intended to benefit learners, researchers, practitioners and patients in the community.

Programs to be established under the affiliation agreement include: clinical experiences and teaching for University students and faculty, educational degree programs for Saint Francis staff, and innovative, long-term research initiatives and collaboration.
