A blizzard warning goes into effect for our area this evening and Connecticut has issued a statewide travel ban starting at 9 p.m. The University is now closed as of 3 p.m. today and will be closed all day tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 27.  Day and evening classes are canceled through tomorrow. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for Wednesday will be posted Tuesday evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only. John Ramsey is general manager and chief engineer of the University of Hartford's FM station WWUH. He is also a radio historian and webmaster of the Hartford Radio History site. In addition, he maintains a fascinating site on Connecticut Cold War History.

In this interview, John talks about the history of WWUH and its unique association with the University of Hartford. He also shares some tidbits about the history of radio in Hartford.

This program is being broadcast during WWUH's annual Fall Fundraiser week. Accordingly, host David Schonfeld asks listeners to show their support for Community Affairs on WWUH by calling with a pledge of support.
