Jacob Harney, associate professor and chair of the Department of Biology, as well as director of the neuroscience program at the University of Hartford, talks about the University's biology faculty and the biology-related degree programs offered in the University's College of Arts and Sciences. Harney discusses the value and utility of a science education; and desctibes the courses he teaches to a variety of audiences, from undergraduate to postgraduate to adult learners in the Presidents' College.
Harney also talks about his personal interest in diabetes and the research to find better treatments and a cure, including the importance of stem cell research in this effort.
