Late Opening on Wednesday, January 28

In the aftermath of the winter storm, the University of Hartford will open on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Classes will begin at 10:30 a.m.   snow closing guide

Until that time, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open normal hours for use by residential students only. Gengras Student Union and University Libraries remain closed until the University reopens Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Beth Taylor, part 2



In this second installment of her two-part interview, Beth Taylor, who is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Sciences and Nursing, in the University's  College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP), talks about running and aging; the value of professional coaching; recognizing the signs of over- (and under-) training; and beginning a fitness program. (Please note that at the time of this interview, Beth's last name was "Parker". Sorry for any confusion!)

Taylor also discussed.the interrelationship of athletic training and cholesterol-lowering drugs; the benefits of the "Mediterranean" diet; the benefits of preventive medicine; and encouraging trends in healthcare.
