Blizzard conditions are now impacting our region and a Connecticut statewide travel ban is in effect. The University will be closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 27.  Day and evening classes are canceled. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for tomorrow will be posted this evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only. Susan Coleman, professor of finance in the University of Hartford's Barney School of Business, has done extensive research on issues surrounding access to capital for women-owned and minority-owned businesses.

In part two of her interview, Coleman talks about the issues facing entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses; the differences between male and female entrepreneurs; the continuing obstacles to female success in business; new financing options for female entrepreneurs; and improving the environment for entrepreneurial success in Connecticut.
