Application Process for Non-UHart Participants

Non-University of Hartford participants are welcome to apply to several of our Faculty-Led Short-Term programs that run over winter term, spring break, or summer term. 

Non-uhart Students

Students must speak with the UHart International Center and faculty member leading the program to determine if they are able to apply.  The student will also need to speak with their home institution to check if the student will be allowed to take the course off campus and if the tuition from the course will transfer back into the home university. 

The application pieces for non-University of Hartford student applicants are as follows:

The letter of recommendation, judicial form, and financial agreement can be sent to the Director of the International Center, Nicole Kurker-Stewart at  The official transcript can be mailed to Nicole at 200 Bloomfield Avenue, International Center GSU 309, West Hartford, CT 06117.

Family Members

If you are a family member of one of the faculty leaders of your program of choice, you will need to submit the following:

Paying the Deposit:

Once we have received the above materials, we will create a University of Hartford ID for you.  This ID will be used to make the required $1000 program deposit, and to pay the remaining program fees.  After you've received you UHart ID you will be able to pay the $1000 deposit and remaining program fees.  For instructions on payment, please refer to Faculty-Led Short-Term Programs page.
