The University of Hartford is partnering with Easy Pickin's Orchard in Enfield, CT for a Community Supported Agriculture program. This program allows for employees to purchase a "share" of the farm's in-season harvest of freshly picked fruits and vegetables. On a weekly basis, a selection is picked, packed, and delivered right here to campus for members to take home and enjoy!
The Community Supported Agriculture Program is seasonal and runs from June to October. Membership prices vary from year to year, as the market changes. Below, you will find a selection of recipes that our current members have enjoyed from their produce yield.
CSA runs for approximately 20 weeks, begining in mid-June and running through October. The prices for the 2017 CSA were as follows: full Shares are $560 (feeds 3-4); half shares are $330 (feeds 1-2).
