The doctoral program is located on 200 Bloomfield Ave, East Hall on the main campus University of Hartford campus. East Hall houses our teaching space as well as faculty and administration offices, smart class rooms, a multipurpose conference room, a student lounge, and a student work space and a student computer lab.
While the East Hall facilities provide the program with space for nearly all of its activities, special needs and events can be accommodated by the University's Harry Jack Gray Conference Center as well as other facilities on the main campus.
Library and Informational Resources
Located on campus in the modern Harry Jack Gray Center, the Mortensen Library houses the University's general book collection and journals. The Mortensen Library includes an electronic library system and the capacity through networked arrangements to locate books and periodicals in other libraries throughout Connecticut. Access to the databases of the dialogic information services is also available. Searches are performed by appointment by reference department staff.
Computers are available for student use at several locations on the main campus as well as in specified stations in the doctoral program's office.
The program has an extensive test library for student use in connection with assessment courses and has a license for use of the statistical computer package, Statistica, which is used in research design and statistics courses.

Professional Writing Skills
Instructor: DeLois Traynum-Lindsey, M.S., Ed.
This workshop, which is an intensive writing experience designed to familiarize students with the technical aspects of writing as presented in the A.P.A. Publication Manual, includes instruction and practice in editing, syntax/grammar, effective writing skills, organizing research papers, and research conceptualization.

Individualized and group assistance with writing, analytical, critical thinking, and case conceptualization skills by fellow Psy.D. students.
The English Language Institute
The Institute is specially charged with providing training in the English language and offers a con-credit course, English 051 for graduate students during Fall and Spring semesters. This course is designed to meet the students' individual needs and will provide a tutor, if required as well as computer assisted language learning. Courses emphasize oral/aural skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary development, grammar usage, and writing skills development.
