For some of you, graduate study can be a gateway to a profession, the chance to move to a new level in your profession, or to increase your base of knowledge and skills. For others, graduate study fulfills your intellectual or artistic curiosity. For all it is a chance to stretch and grow, to meet students and professors who will enrich your lives, and to continue your development as a person, a professional, and a contributing citizen.
For us, graduate programs are an asset to our academic community as a catalyst for faculty research and scholarship and a role model for undergraduates. They also meet the needs of external communities, both geographical and physical. Finally, they are the highest expression of our mission "As a private university with a public purpose, we engage students in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to thrive in, and contribute to, pluralistic, complex world."
Picking a graduate program is a critically important decision that sets the direction for your professional life and passion. Thank you for considering the graduate programs at the University of Hartford. We are confident in the quality of our programs and proud of our graduates. If I can be of any assistance, please let me know.
