Institutional Partnerships and Sponsored Research

The Office of Institutional Partnerships and Sponsored Research (IPSR) is the office on campus responsible for the solicitation and management of funding from institutional sources. This includes the identification, submission, postaward management, and compliance for various types of funding (i.e., grants, contracts, subcontracts, cooperative agreements) from corporations and corporate foundations, private foundations, and public entities at the city, state, and federal levels. The mission of IPSR is to provide assistance to faculty and staff in securing and managing awards, while ensuring that the University is in compliance with the requirements of the funder. Recognizing that external funding is critical to professional development, teaching and learning, and scholarly research, IPSR is committed to assisting and supporting faculty and staff to secure grants that further the mission of the University. To that end, IPSR also offers workshops to faculty and staff on topics such as researching funding opportunities, proposal development, budgeting, and postaward grant management.
