We are free and open to the public—a hub for everyone in the community to gather, learn, and imagine through art.

Coming Soon: Pathways: HAS Faculty Show

Featured artwork: (Left) Marion Belanger and Martha Lewis; (Right) Michael Vahrenwald

September 12 - December 14, 2024

This exhibition unveils the latest creations from the esteemed faculty of the Hartford Art School. The artwork, while diverse in materials, subject matter, and style, represents a collective commitment to curiosity, process, and making. From porcelain to woodcut prints and even augmented reality, the exhibition paints a rich portrait of the multiple creative realms explored by HAS faculty members.

Organized by eight students from the spring 2024 Art History Internship class, the exhibition title Pathways is intended to evoke how each faculty member’s artistic practice intersects with their role as an educator at the University of Hartford. These pathways will be explored in a slate of exciting programming that puts the creative practices of faculty from across the campus into conversation.

The exhibition and related programming are supported by the Joseloff Gallery Programming Fund and the Howard and Dorothy Whitney Student Activity Fund held by Hartford Art School Endowment, Inc., and the Art on Campus Program.

Gifts to the HAS Art Galleries help provide our students and the community with access to renowned artists and extensive arts facilities.
