Exciting works by international and national artists await you at the Joseloff Gallery

Art lovers throughout New England interact with artists and learn about their works through special programs throughout the year offered by the Hartford Art School galleries.

The Hartford Art School Galleries includes the Joseloff Gallery, the Donald and Linda Silpe Gallery, Kaman Print Study Center, and Art on Campus. These exhibition spaces inspire our community year-round, and engage with students daily through creative visual experiences.

BFA Thesis Exhibitions

Joseloff & Silpe Galleries

Round 1: April 4 – April 16, 2024

Round 2: April 25 – May 7, 2024

Over the months of April and May, the Hartford Art School Galleries will host a series of exhibitions celebrating the diverse artwork of our graduating seniors. The first round of BFA Thesis Exhibitions will run April 4-16, 2024. Join graduating seniors from the Illustration Department for their exhibition, Exo· Sketch, in Joseloff Gallery. Seniors from the Printmaking and Photography Departments will present their exhibition, Desire Lines, in Silpe Gallery.  

Receptions for both exhibitions will be held Saturday, April 6 from 6-8 p.m. at the respective galleries. In addition, the Illustration Department will hold their Professional Opening on Thursday, April 11 from 6-8 p.m.  

The second round of BFA Thesis Exhibitions will run April 25-May 7, 2024. Join graduating seniors from the Visual Communication Design Department for their exhibition, Character, in Joseloff Gallery. Seniors from the Ceramics, Painting, and Integrated Media Arts Departments will present their exhibition, (In) Tension, in Silpe Gallery.  

Receptions for both exhibitions will be held at the respective galleries on Saturday, April 27 from 6-8 p.m. In addition, the Visual Communication Design Department will hold their Professional Opening on Monday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m.  

Gifts to the HAS Art Galleries help provide our students and the community with access to renowned artists and extensive arts facilities.
