Diana Veneri Promoted to Associate Professor

Diana Veneri is a faculty member and physical therapist in the Department of Rehabiliation Sciences who recently celebrated her promotion to Associate Professor along with other faculty members who were promoted and/or granted tenure in 2013. The event took place at Avon Old Farms in Farmington.

Diana Veneri teaches content in the physical therapy program related to evaluation and treatment of adults with neurologic dysfunction. She also instructs part of the scientific inquiry series and teaches a summer elective focusing primarily on complementary therapies. Veneri received the 2012 University Award for Innovations in Teaching and Learning.

Her research agenda includes teaching methodologies in physical therapy education and treatment interventions for persons with neurologic impairment. Most recently, she is developing a research project to study the effectiveness of education materials created specifically for persons with above-knee amputation in developing countries.
