Nuchette Burke, Program Administrator, Educational Main Street>/p>

Nuchette Burke provides weekly programming for more than 100 students in grades 5 through 9 as the program administrator for the University's After-School Network in Bloomfield and Hartford.  She develops curriculum, recruits students at public schools, acts as a liaison with the public schools, and provides parenting programming.

Burke oversees the student staff in Educational Main Street office in the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions.  She coordinates the tutoring program.  Using her talents as an event planner, she is also responsible for all EMS events.

Burke graduated in May with a master's degree in educational technology.  When she's not working on her own projects, she's always willing to support the University.  She is a member of the Physical Therapy Advisory Board and a volunteer for Spring Fling and Gospel Choir concerts.  Lending a hand with some events for the Caribbean American Student Association, Burke is a mentor and role model for many students at the University.

In the community Burke is also an active volunteer.  She is director of the Youth and Christian Education Department at Rehoboth Church of God in Bloomfield, Conn., and of the vacation bible school.  A member of the Windsor Early Childhood Council, she is a parent volunteer at her son's preschool in Windsor, Conn.

Nuchette always has a smile and warmly connects with students, staff, and members of the community.
