Spring Visit Days

The Office of Admission will host the following Visit Days this spring.  Take an in-depth campus tour, have lunch with faculty and students, learn about your program of interest, and meet other students who want to be part of UHart's Class of 2023. Montessori Studies Information Sessions

Have you considered becoming a Montessori teacher? Our Montessori education concentration programs pair the University of Hartford’s curriculum with Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher training, putting students on course to earn an internationally-recognized AMI diploma by the time they graduate. The programs are a partnership between the University of Hartford and the Montessori Training Center Northeast, an AMI-teacher training center managed by the Capitol Region Education Council. Spontaneous Reading: A Joyful Journey

The University of Hartford and the Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE) are hosting a free online workshop titled “Spontaneous Reading: A Joyful Journey” on March 20, 2019 at 5:30 pm EST. Geared toward Montessori practitioners, educators working on their Association of Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher training, and Montessori administrators, the program will provide an overview of the following topics:

  1. Identify the skills necessary for becoming a reader
  2. Align these skills to the Montessori materials
  3. Review the progression that leads to spontaneous reading

By attending this workshop, you will come away with proven techniques and strategies for developing the reading skills of children that can be used immediately in your classrooms.

Gretchen Hall brings with her a decade’s worth of experience utilizing Montessori teaching methods with children. She holds an AMI Diploma at the primary level and is the Director of Training at MTCNE where she currently educates adults toward becoming Montessori practitioners. Register today for this immersive and interactive Montessori workshop and gain insights and useful tips from practitioners who understand it best.
