Allstar Therapy

AllStar Therapy is a unique rehabilitation company with a mission to be a leader in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language pathology rehabilitation services. The company was founded by owner Lisa Wilson-Foley, a physical therapist and accomplished businesswoman. Wilson-Foley became a member of the Board of Visitors of the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions in 2011.

AllStar Therapy provides rehabilitation services in both long-term care and home health care. The company has supported the clinical education component of the Doctor in Physical Therapy program by providing rich and diverse clinical experiences for DPT students. Their flexibility in accommodating students has created a singular relationship that builds on the strengths of both institutions. Many of the graduates of the DPT program are now employees of AllStar. In fact, DPT alumna and AllStar therapist, Naima Millette, was recently named outstanding clinical instructor by the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences.

In addition to clinical support, AllStar's Director of Development Karleen Cordeau teaches a course in the doctoral program which focuses on the business of health care. Director of Rehabilitation Walter Gorack participated in the faculty-mentored scientific inquiry sequence within the DPT curriculum which culminates in a research project. The project entitled, Mscore: Developing a Clinical Test for Assessing Functional Balance, involved faculty members Kevin Ball and Catherine Certo as well as DPT students. The students present their group research projects at ENHP Day 2013.

The partnership with AllStar supports the College’s commitment to work collaboratively with our community partners to successfully bridge academic work and the needs of communities.
