Assistant Professor Paul Higgins DPT,MPT,ATC,CSCS educates students in Functional and Clinical Gross Anatomy, Orthopedic Pathology, Clinical Modalities and Research. He also serves as a clinical instructor for the physical therapy program’s clinical integration series, as first year DPT students learn hands-on, in the clinical setting at University Physical Therapy, LLC. In the community, he is an integral part of a license requirement for Occupational Therapists in New Jersey, as he instructs a 30 hour licensure requirement for therapists using physical modalities.
Paul Higgins continues to treat patients in his co-owned outpatient physical therapy office, University Physical Therapy, LLC. His area of interest clinically is sport related injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation, having begun his career as an athletic trainer. His research focus is on the effectiveness of clinical modalities in the treatment of pathology as well as sport-specific training and athletic performance.
