Kenny Nienhusser

Teaching Focus

Assistant Professor H. Kenny Nienhusser, EdD, teaches courses such as: organizational theory in education, qualitative research methods, diversity in higher education, and student affairs administration to doctoral students in the Educational Leadership program.

Research Interests

Nienhusser's research focuses on the implementation of state and institutional policies that impact underserved minority students’ postsecondary education access. Specifically, it examines how education institutional agents (e.g., systems-level officers, higher education administrators, and high school staff) implement state and institutional policies that shape these students’ college access. His scholarship focuses on the Latino and undocumented student populations.

He is the director of the Center for Learning and Professional Education in the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions' Institute for Translational Research.
