Kori Stewart

Teaching Focus

Clinical Assistant Professor Kori Stewart is the Clinical Director of the CT, MRI, and SONO programs and teaches radiography courses that include Introduction to Radiologic Technology I/II, Patient Care I/II, RAD Pathology, and Diagnostic Imaging. She provides an interactive classroom environment with hands-on activities and innovative instruction that includes emerging and relevant biomedical informatics applications. Her focus ensures that students provide superior patient-centered care, understand their role as a technologist, and take pride in serving as “the eyes of medicine.”

Professional Interests

Stewart is currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Informatics at Rutgers University with a focus on Clinical Informatics, an area that applies information technology to deliver healthcare services. Her research focuses on clinical decision support, medical image processing and clinical problem solving and decision making with the use of support vector machines (SVM). Stewart has lectured nationally on Informatics to a variety of professional audiences and is a leading resource for integrating informatics into the radiography classroom.
