Information Technology Services Classes

All classes listed are held in the CLC, CC 114 and run about 1.5 hours in duration.  The Access class is the sole exception and is 3 hours long.

Migrating to Office 2013

The latest Microsoft Office suite has some interesting changes from previous versions of the programs.  Come learn what’s different in 2013!

Beginning Excel

This is a basic introductory course for Microsoft Excel.  If you have never used the program, or haven’t touched it in years, this is the perfect place to begin thinking about this spreadsheet application.

Excel Formulas

Let Excel do the math for you!  This class covers basic formulas and function in Excel.  It includes an overview of the best practices for equations in Excel.

Formatting and Charts in Excel

A picture is worth a thousand words!  This class helps you to format your spreadsheets for maximum clarity and turn your data into charts that look polished and complete.

Pivot Tables in Excel

Pivot tables are a data summarization tool that will help you manipulate your data for better analysis.  Among other functions, this tool can help you quickly sort, count, total or average large amounts of data.

Intro to Access

This class covers the basics of the basics of Access.  Topics include Tables, Reports, Queries and Forms.

Word 2013: Where’d it go?

The most commonly asked question about Word 2013 is “where did they put the…”  This class will answer that question, and so many more.

Mail Merges

Mail merges in Word 2013 can help you create multiple documents from a single template using a well-structured data source.  Send bulk letters that have a personal touch!

Tips and Tricks for Office 2013

Come with questions!  This class will show you some of the wonderful ways that Office can make using Office easier.  The class will cover customizing your work environment, keyboard shortcuts, page numbers in Word and Excel, and password protection.

Timings, Animations, and Dialogical PowerPoint

Learn to take PowerPoint presentations to the next level.  This course will show you how to set up a dialogical presentation for a non-linear conversation, animate objects on the slides, and automate the presentation.
