Emeriti President Bob Wallace introduced new members. Hartford Art School: Mary Frey & Gilles Giuntini Hillyer College: Sharon Shepela A&S: Charles Ross, Raymond McGivney, Robert Logan & Joel Kagan Barney: Rao Singamsetti Hartt: John Feierabend.
Leo and Sharon
Leo Smith reported that the Scholarship Committee selected 3 students for $1,000 scholarships. They will be introduced in the October meeting. Donation changes: use a credit card, become a sustaining member and dedicate donation to a living person or in memoriam. Sharon Pope shared an idea that retirees can make the emeriti scholarship a beneficiary of the $2000 life insurance policy provided by the university.
Emeriti Treasurer Mary Dowst reported that finances are strong and the amount contributed to scholarships is higher although the number of donors remained level.
