Claudia Oakes, faculty member in ENHP's Department of Health Sciences and Nursing, and three health science students—Ben Roberts, Megan Westcott, and Cassie Pastier—volunteered for Rebuilding Together Hartford on Saturday, April 26.

The vision of "Rebuilding Together" is a safe and healthy home for everyone.

Despite the cold and rain, nearly 500 volunteers spent the day helping 20 low-income homeowners in the city of Hartford. The volunteers worked on projects to make homes safer and more functional. Projects included power washing, clutter removal, gardening, installing handrails, and improving lighting.
