Storm Advisory

Blizzard conditions are now impacting our region and a Connecticut statewide travel ban is in effect. The University will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27.  Day and evening classes are canceled. An updated advisory on the status of classes and operations for Wednesday will be posted Tuesday evening. During the time that the University is closed, the Commons, Subway, and Village Market will maintain regular hours for residential dining services and the Sports Center will be open for use by residential students only. Alumnus Featured in Hartford Courant Column on Potential of For-Profit Hospitals in Connecticut

Erik Wexler, 50, an alumnus of the University of Hartford, is currently head of the Northeast region of Tenet Healthcare Corp., which owns Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass. He'll be in line to oversee Waterbury, Bristol, Rockville General, and Manchester Memorial hospitals if Tenet succeeds in folding those not-for-profit institutions into its collection of 77 for-profit hospitals across the United States, according to an article on the front page of the Hartford Courant on Sunday, April 27. The column by Dan Haar was also distributed over the Bloomberg Business network.
