Ted Sawruck, assistant professor of architecture in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA), has been accepted to the Network Winter program offered by New York University's
Faculty Resource Network (FRN).
These week-long, intensive seminars are convened by distinguished faculty members from colleges and universities throughout the country. The seminars run concurrently during a week and cover a broad range of disciplines. Through lectures, field trips, presentations, research, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive discussions, participants are exposed to the most recent scholarship in their fields while being given the opportunity to develop teaching and curriculum strategies for direct classroom application.
Sawruck will attend a seminar entitled
"Energy and the Environment," which fits extremely well with the outreach projects and pedagogical programs that help promote community, sustainability, and socially responsible architecture. The seminars will be held at the University of the Sacred Heart in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
These seminars, and other FRN activities, are open to all University of Hartford full-time faculty members. For more information on the programs offered by the FRN, including the upcoming Network Summer series, visit the Faculty Development website at
